I had a conversation with a friend earlier this morning. Here it is. if anyone has any questions after this, they're welcome to email, IM or phone me - whatever they want, and I'll be more than happy to answer any questions. But if I have to repeat the same story over and over again, I'll definitely strangle someone.

Tricky: aiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeee
jeffypoo: hey
Tricky: sup?
jeffypoo: funny you should ask.
jeffypoo: I just got mugged.
Tricky: not really, i usually ask
Tricky: you're fucking kidding
jeffypoo: that's not what I meant:)
jeffypoo: nope.
Tricky: tell me the story
jeffypoo: weeeelll.
jeffypoo: just a little while ago.
jeffypoo: like, just before 1, I was walking home from Sev.
jeffypoo: saw a couple shadows behind me on the sidewalk, and I subconsciously sped up a bit. then I thought to myself. fer fuck's sake, I'm not a fricking pansy. I'm totally comfortable walking at night, I don't need to worry. so I slowed down.
Tricky: yeaaaaaaaaah huh
jeffypoo: then they grabbed me from behind, one of them punched me a couple times then told me to hand over my money.
Tricky: are you hurt?
jeffypoo: I said "I don't have any money." guess these guys were a bit too smart to fall for that line, so they sort of walked me over to the trees right across the street from the house.
jeffypoo: not really. my jaw's a bit sore.
Tricky: you gonna go to the cops?
jeffypoo: then I figured, hey.. might as well hand over the cash. I was too in shock to fight over it. mostly I was just confused, like.. why the heck are you doing this?
jeffypoo: just did.
Tricky: good stuff.. how much was there?
jeffypoo: so I gave them about $12, then one of them took my wallet to look thru it for more money. then handed it back.
Tricky: polite, anyways
jeffypoo: ehh... not really. but reasonable, I suppose.
jeffypoo: from what the cops said, it seems unlikely this'll be resolved.
Tricky: why? you didn't see them?
jeffypoo: not really well. I gave a fairly decent description of one guy, but the other one I couldn't see well enough.
jeffypoo: that was one thing I had enough presence of mind to do, was get as good a look at them as possible. but it was too dark to get much.
Tricky: yeah...so, why wouldn't it get resolved?
jeffypoo: they sent a dog after them, but weren't able to pick up the scent:(
jeffypoo: so ya. they either catch them right away, or probably not at all.
Tricky: aah. Gay.

they got to do stuff like stop trying to nail speeders and get these sorts of folks
jeffypoo: there ya go:) but their response time was fantastic. they were here a couple minutes after I called.
Tricky: cool

Oh ya and by the way, if one more person says, "Man, if I was there I woulda punched them out, and stuff like that, cuz i'm a badass.", I'll have to shoot them. Stuff like that. I mean, chances are, if you ever are in a position like that, you probably would've reacted much the same way I did, with shock and surprise too much to retaliate. And if you do fight back, there's the possibility that the bad guys will pull out knives or guns and do you in. Then where will you be? Or, if you do fight back and win, that doesn't help me anyways, cuz I don't really care what you do, I care about what I do. But I'm working on getting this resolved. It turns out there's a chance those two guys may have been seen at the Sev I go to near here. I went there a little while later, cuz I had a coupon for a pop, and the clerk there thinks he might've seen them.

Other than that, I can't think of anything to say. I sort of wonder what if any, psychological issues come out of this for me. Should be interesting.
